Privacy Policy

Levvy Mascot

1. Introduction

Welcome to Levvy Protocol ("Levvy", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our decentralized application ("dApp") and associated services (collectively, the "Protocol").

Levvy operates as a decentralized, non-custodial protocol on the Cardano blockchain. This means that while we provide the interface and smart contracts, we do not control or custody your assets, and certain data is inherently public on the blockchain.

2. Blockchain Data Transparency

2.1 Public On-Chain Data

When you interact with the Levvy Protocol, the following information is recorded on the Cardano blockchain and is publicly visible to anyone:

  • Your wallet address(es)
  • All transaction details (amounts, timestamps, assets involved)
  • Loan positions, collateral amounts, and borrowing history
  • NFT ownership and transfer history
  • Smart contract interactions and their parameters
  • Liquidation events and outcomes

2.2 Data Permanence

Blockchain data is immutable and permanent. Once a transaction is recorded, it cannot be deleted, modified, or hidden. This includes all lending, borrowing, and liquidation activities. We have no ability to remove or modify your on-chain data.

2.3 Pseudonymity, Not Anonymity

While blockchain addresses are pseudonymous (not directly tied to your real identity), sophisticated analysis techniques can potentially link wallet addresses to real-world identities. Your on-chain activity may be tracked, analyzed, and correlated by third parties including blockchain analytics companies, researchers, and law enforcement.

2.4 Liquidation Event Visibility

If your position is liquidated, this event is publicly recorded on the blockchain. Third parties, including competitors, researchers, and analytics services, can view your liquidation history, collateral losses, and associated wallet addresses.

2.5 Mass Liquidation Privacy Impact

During mass liquidation events, the public nature of blockchain data means that your distressed position may be visible to liquidators and traders who may act on this information before you can respond. This can result in both financial loss and public exposure of your financial difficulties.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information Collected Automatically

When you access the Protocol interface, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information (browser type, operating system, device type)
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent)

  • Error logs and performance data

3.2 Wallet Information

When you connect your wallet, we access:

  • Your public wallet address(es)
  • Wallet balance and asset holdings (read-only)
  • Transaction history related to the Protocol

We never have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or the ability to initiate transactions without your explicit approval.

3.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store:

  • Personal identification information (name, address, phone number)
  • Government-issued identification documents
  • Bank account or credit card information
  • Private keys or seed phrases
  • KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation

4. Additional Information

  • Improve our services
  • Provide analytics

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Protocol functionality.

4.4 Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

The security of your wallet and private keys is your sole responsibility. We cannot recover lost funds or reverse transactions resulting from compromised credentials.

4.5 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding off-chain data we collect:

  • Access to your personal data
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your data (where applicable)
  • Data portability
  • Objection to processing

Important: These rights do NOT apply to on-chain blockchain data, which is immutable and cannot be deleted or modified by anyone.

4.6 Children's Privacy

4.7 International Data Transfers

The Cardano blockchain operates globally, and your on-chain data is replicated across nodes worldwide. Off-chain data we collect may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.

4.8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Protocol after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
